Hydrocarbons Law for the Year 1439 Ah
Article 1

In this Law, the following terms and phrases shall have the meanings assigned to them, unless the context requires otherwise:
Law: Hydrocarbon Law.
Country: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Government: The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Territory: Includes, for the purposes of this Law, the State’s land territory, its maritime areas, and areas in which the State has rights to natural resources pursuant to international agreements.
Ministry: The Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources.
Minister: The Minister of Energy, Industry, and Mineral Resources.
Hydrocarbons: Compounds of hydrogen and carbon in their liquid or gaseous state, whether conventional or unconventional, such as crude oil, confinement oil, shale oil, condensate, natural gas, shale gas, methane hydrates, natural tar, and tar, which are extracted from the ground or surface.
Hydrocarbon Resources: The total amount of recoverable hydrocarbons present in natural accumulations prior to the initiation of production, including any quantities present in undiscovered deposits.
Hydrocarbon deposits: The accumulation of hydrocarbons in a geological unit.
Hydrocarbon Operations: Aspects of activity and operations related to hydrocarbon resources, including but not limited to technical survey, detection, exploration, drilling, evaluation, development, extraction, extraction, production, and proces ......
