In implementing the provisions of this law, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings indicated next to each of them, unless the context of the text indicates otherwise:

Country: United Arab Emirates.

Emirate: The Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Executive Council: The Executive Council of the Emirate.

The Department: The Judicial Department - Abu Dhabi.
